Judith's Hygiene

Judith 10:3

And pulled off the sackcloth which she had on, and put off the garments of her widowhood, and washed her body all over with water, and anointed herself with precious ointment, and braided the hair of her head, and put on a tire upon it, and put on her garments of gladness, wherewith she was clad during the life of Manasses her husband.

Feminine Odor...What to Avoid.

Please Put The Douch Away!

You’re only making things worse. Douching is very bad because it can alter the balance of healthy bacteria in your vagina, causing other bacteria to grow and create a foul vaginal odor. You should douche ONLY if asked to by a doctor or gynecologist.

Trim Your Pubic Hair

Ladies, you have to be the barber for your vagina long pubic hairs contributes to the bad odor of your vagina. I know shaving pubic hair is not every woman’s cup of tea but if you’re suffering from vaginal odor or any other types of vaginal infections (yeast infections etc.), then getting rid of those unwanted hairs will surely help. Hair Removal lotions are available for sensitive areas and work great for avoiding razor bumps. If you just can’t cope up with shaving it at all, trim it at least and keep the pubic hair as short and barely visible as possible.

Feminine odor changes throughout your normal monthly menstrual cycle and is subject to outside situations such as the presence of bacteria, foods that you eat, or hormonal functions. As women, experiencing feminine odors from time to time is normal. Unfortunately, the fact that they’re common doesn’t make them any less embarrassing. Feminine odors are especially frustrating because they can leave you feeling unclean and gross, even if that’s not the case. There are several causes for feminine odors. Here are some remedies and tips on ways to prevent this from happening.

  1. Liquid Chlorophyll – Drink 1 tbsp. (15 ml) of liquid chlorophyll mixed into 8 oz. of water twice a day. Chlorophyll comes from green plants and is a natural internal deodorizer. The chlorophyll may make your tongue turn blackish, or your urine and feces a little green. These are common side effects and should not be something to worry about.
  2. Tea Tree Oil – Apply a mixture of tea tree oil and water to the vaginal area. Mix 6 oz. (170 grams) of water with 2 drops of tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is antibacterial and anti-fungal, and will help get rid of bacteria that are contributing to your strong vaginal odor.
  3. Eat Yogurt – Yogurt that contains live cultures adds probiotics, or good bacteria, into your body. This can reverse the problem if you have a mild case or a yeast infection that is just starting out, and acts as a great preventative measure if you start doing it before the problem develops.
  4. Put Yogurt in your Vagina – Yes, I know this sounds strange, but this handy remedy works wonders.Plain yogurt is loaded with good bacteria which can help replenish the depleted levels in the vagina. You can soak a tampon in probiotic yogurt and apply directly to the vagina. This is recommended by many alternate practitioners as a powerful home remedy for balancing bacteria in the vagina. *DO NOT use yogurt with added ingredients or sugars. This will make your vaginal odors worse.*
  5. Goldenseal capsules – Goldenseal is a natural antibiotic useful for treating bacterial infections of the vagina. To treat vaginal odor take 2 Golden seal capsules every day till your smell clears off completely.
  6. Wear cotton underwear – Pantyhose and any synthetic material will block some air flow to the area. Loose cotton garments will give the region more ventilation, which will help get rid of vaginal odor over time.
  7. Cranberry – To restore the acidic environment of your vagina and get rid of vaginal odor for good start taking fresh cranberry juice 3-4 times a day. In case it is not possible for you to have it in juice form you can take two cranberry tablets every day.
  8. Soak yourself in apple cider vinegar – Apple cider vinegar is a natural anti-bacterial. Add 1 to 2 cups (240 to 470 ml) of it to your bath water and soak for 20 minutes. The vinegar should help to get rid of toxins and bacteria that is causing your vaginal odor.
